He’s coming, all right, and he’s brought several of his little hunting friends with him. God. This is not how she wanted today to go. Susie hops off the fence outside the resort and heads for higher ground indoors. Evan is a big man. If she can spot him setting up his stupid traps, she has a chance and that’s all she needs: to not panic. ]
[ For once, he doesn't bring any traps. He's got the suspicion that if he does someone in the Legion is going to break them, or steal them, or move them to where he'll accidentally step in one. So it's just him and his cleaver, stalking through the fog, taking the most direct path to their little patch of hell in the darkness.
It's too bright for his tastes, and way too cold. He stays at the edge of the treeline, watching the resort for movement. They're all faster than him. His best option is to outthink her - or just surprise her. Scare her into doing something stupid or reckless enough that he can catch her. Or get her to back down, even if an apology is something he's not even going to try and hope for.
Is she the only one around? It doesn't matter. Evan heads across the snow toward the building the dominates the whole of the area, ignoring the cold as it starts to freeze the iron shot through him. There's a flicker of movement higher up as he goes, the sound of footsteps - but he pretends he doesn't hear them, and heads for the not-exactly-warmth inside the chalet. ]
