[ he's got no guarantee if david's coming or not, so he's outside the coal tower, trying to fix the mortar on one wall so it doesn't collapse any further. it's a constant fight to keep his property standing, but so far, he's at least not losing. ]

[ it doesn't take long to get to macmillan, shorter than it feels like it should actually, but maybe he just lost track of time. he doesn't know where evan is, not like he actually confirmed he was coming, but he figures if he heads toward the workshop one of them'll find the other sooner rather than later. at the very least evan will know there's someone about and come stomping over. ]
